Well, maybe 2021 didn’t quite go the way we had hoped but it’s undeniable that most of the world is in a better place at the turn of this calendar year than the last. In terms of some certainty, more tools against the coronavirus and just an adjustment to continued life with a pandemic hovering.
New Year’s Eve day in Rome was one of the most beautiful I may have ever experienced. Certainly warmer, brighter and sunnier than most New Year’s Eves in Canada.
We took a leisurely stroll through the city and had a fabulous al fresco lunch. This made up most of our celebration as nighttime restrictions had been increased and as parents of a toddler, making it to midnight isn’t what it once was!
Feeling truly lucky to call Rome home, especially on days like this.
